Join UFCW and the L.A. County Fed to Deliver Easter
Baskets to Boron! This Sunday, March 28,

 On
Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 10 a.m., the L.A. County Federation
of Labor will assist our sisters and brothers at the United Food
and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1428 who are loading up 400
Easter baskets to deliver to the kids of locked-out Rio Tinto
miners who belong to the International Longshore and Warehouse
Union (ILWU) Local 30 in Boron, California.
If you can
help load and/or deliver the Easter baskets, we can use
you!

Picket the
British Consulate in Support of Locked-Out
Miners! Friday, April 16, 2010
On
Friday, April 16, 2010, at 11a.m., the Los Angeles County
Federation of Labor will RALLY and PICKET at the British
Consulate in Los Angeles.
We will demand the
British Government take responsibility for Rio Tinto, a
British-owned company, to put an end to the lock-out in Boron
and provide a fair contract to our workers.

Rally with
Verizon Workers to Keep Jobs in California! Thursday, March 25, 2010
 On
Thursday, March 25, 2010, from 4-7 p.m., join members of the
Communications Workers of America (CWA) to march and rally for
good, middle class jobs, outside a Verizon business center
located at 11333 Sepulveda Blvd. in Mission Hills, CA. The
rally was called in response to Verizon’s recent
announcements to move hundreds of jobs out of California
including to Tijuana, Mexico.
