Interfaith Prayer Vigil and Fast for
Humane and Just Immigration Reform
Tuesday,
June 29, marks one month before SB 1070 goes into effect in
Arizona. People of many different faiths will join their voices
and hearts in prayer to show their support for those in Arizona
who stand against this new extreme legislation and who face
firsthand the devastating consequences of federal inaction on
comprehensive immigration reform. They will also call
upon our state, county and city leaders to oppose any similar
legislation in California. Join the vigil to
pray that our leaders in Washington will find the courage to act
now on immigration reform that will keep families together and
fix our broken system.
